Hello friends! I welcome you to the new booksandlookspodcast.com website. Here you will be able to access both the YouTube and Podcast recordings of each of our shows, and can do it from the comfort of your phone or computer. In addition, I will be posting blogs as to what is happening with the show, what books I am reading, and what to look forward to in the book world.
This is all part of trying to make Books & Looks more accessible to you, my loyal friends and subscribers. Since I began my podcasting career, I have received over 2,750 books from publishers, authors, PR firm,s and NetGalley. Obviously, I cannot fit all of these books onto the show, but when I am not reading and preparing for the show, I try and read many of these books, and I can keep you abreast of those books as well as my thoughts on them.
2025 has started off with a bang, as we have had some amazing books and authors appear on the show and have covered such diverse topics as Starlings, America in the Arctic, Custodians of Wonder, the fate of the worlds first seed bank in Russia, the story of the Scopes Monkey trial in Tennessee, the story of renowned Evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, the fate of small towns in the US when they lost their minor league baseball team, and much much more.
As the year goes on I will continue to bring to you some truly amazing non-fiction and history books, but are will also be presenting more fiction and mystery books and authors. We have authors coming to us from Califonia, England, Sweden, and all points in between.
So enjoy these shows, enjoy reading the books, or even just listening to learn about some truly amazing stories. We hope to put out 44 or so episodes this year and so I invite you to come along for the fun!
